Lord Denman, one of the few Liberal Peers, had a word to say about Parliamentary majorities at a luncheon in London recently. He recalled a Labour Government in New South liVales which flourished on a majority of one. Unfortunately the Majority tumbled down two flights of stairs and broke its leg. Undismayed, it offered to be wheeled in a bathchair from hospital to the Legislative Chamber to keep its Government in office. A sporting Opposition consented to "pair" tho Majority.
