TAYLOR'S MISTAKE CLUB
The annual report of tho Taylor's Mistake Surf and Life-Saving Chib states that it wae decided instead of having an opening day early in tho season, to ha-vo the annual competition dav in February, and call it the "Kesteven Cup Day"; thie proved a big puccess, as with the worm weather, the club had a very successful day, and a large attendance. The cup was won by New Brighton, the home team lacking (sufficient training. During the sc<reon tho club purchased & copper and aleo installed a. water tank in the pavilion. These proved a great convenience on opening day, and amply justified the expenditure. There are other improvements contemplated this year, and these will be dealt with by the committee. The prospects for the coming season are good-, and it is confidently anticipated that the club will have a first-class team for competitions. The financial statement shows the reoepits to amount to £lO4 3s lod, and the expenditure to £4O as Id, leaving a credit balance of £63 14s 3d.
