PATIENTS ENTERTAINED.
WILLIAMSON COMPANY AT SANATORIA. Yesterday was a bright day in the monotonous lives of the patients of the Coronation Hospital and Military Sanatorium, Cashmere Hills, it being the occasion of a visit from members of the J. C. Williamson No. 2 Company of Entertainers. Those who made the trip and gave their services were Miss Hetty King, Miss Rosie Lloyd, Miss Meta Carson, Mr Peter Donald, Mr Dudley Dale, Messrs Ross, Barker, and McLennan, and Mr Harry Jacobs and his orchestra. At the Coronation Hospital the party was met by Dr. Macintyre, Miss Hetherington (matron), and Sister Gibbons, the first-named subsequently express,\g the appreciation of the patients at the kindly action of the performers in thus bringing a ray of sunshine into their lives. Afternoon tea was provided before going to the Military Sanatorium, where the party was met by Drs. Aiken and Pemberton and the matron, Mrs McLeod, Dr. Aiken returning thanks at the conclusion of the performance. Members of the Canterbury Automobile Association generously provided the motor-ears which carried the party to and from the sanatoria.
