TO THE EDITOR OF "TBZ FBEBS." Sir,—l saw an account .in your paper, a few mornings ago, of the big fire at, the Southbridg© School, also of tho gallant at.teinpt of tho Fire. Brigadeto copo with it. I contend that no body cf men could ha.vo, worked with more determination, than ,tho iSbuthbridge Fire Brigade did. ISo far I haro seen no mention of these brave fellows being rewarded, and I contour! that they should Ik\ Now I think that the most, fitting reward would be to eaJl a public meeting and. present each one of the hrigade'wifh a. medal to be- worn—iSunilo.ys, high days and holidays—thou when, they ha.Te away it can hs handed down to their children to show the gallant- attempt their fathers made, to &.ave the old school, and another thing that'tlie-)' could do after the experience and practice that they had is—-take part intlse next hre brig;;da demonstration. —Yours, etc., OXLOO'KJEII.
