ASHBURTON SUB-CENTRE. A meeting' of the Ashburton Sub-Centre was held in Mcthven. There were present: Messrs John Watson (chairman), Robilliajd, Stubb3, Madden, Wright, MoNamara, Nickolls, J. After some discussion it was decided on the motion of Messrs Wright and McKamara that the pennant competition he discontinued for this season.

The election of officers for tho ensuing l year resulted as follows:---President, Mr H. A. Nickolls; vice-president, Mr G. 8. Hardy; secretary, Ifr G. Cookson.
