ST. PETER'S CHURCH.

The forty-third anniversary eooial was held in St. Peter's Church on Wednesday, when tho Church was filled. The Rev. W. Tanner presided. Amongst, thoso present w a a the Rev. A. Scorgie, who was minister of tho charge about twenty-six years ago. Mr Scorgie gavo a very interesting address, stressing the many differences ho noticed einco his time as minister. Mr R H. Wilson, who is representing St. Peter s at tho General Assembly, also adidrcssed tho gatherin?. A capital musical programme waa provided. Solos were given by Master Jim Wicks, Mr Jackson, Misses Sherrifi3, Langridge, and Dalley, a vocal quartette by Messrs PahVy, Rainsford, Richards, and Tcnnant, and instrumental item* by Mr Bennett's orchestra. At tho conclusion of the programme, the ladies of tho Churc% handed round refreshments, and a pleasant hour was spent in social chat.
