Mr Doans reported on the League's visit to the City Council reserves, and tho Rawhiti Domain, and stated that tree-planting by municipalities deserved encouragement, as there was no question, that if the work was carried on and looked after, the bodies doing it would reap tho benefit in. a very short time. He moved that a, vote of thanks bo accorded the City Council and the Mayor of New Brighton for the hospitality extended. The -chairman endorsed Mr Dfeans's remarks, and the motion was agreed to. The facts are as follows: The Council sold 466 trees which were grown on an area of thre"e acres of land.
