OBITUARY.
The death occurred last week of Mr George Kirkwood Robinson, of Mount Eden, Auckland. Mr Eobinson, who was in his 6Sth year, arrived in NewZealand with his parents CI years ago. For some time his parents were farming iu the Whangarei district, but they went to Auckland after a few years, and resided at Mount Eden. The deceased T33 one of the first to commence express cart work 111 Auckland. He afterwards was engaged in fanning and horse dealing, iu which line lie was probably one of the most successful in New Zealand. lie was closely associated with the inauguration of trotting in Auckland, and as an owner and trainer of horses he was one of the keenest of local sportsmen.
