Companionships of the Order have been conferred on Mr iidward Harkness and Mr Charles Oakes, of New South Wales, ana Air Hitchcock, Mayor of Geelong. Williamson, Ltd., for about, thirty years. There is no oian more respo-'Uid and more honouieu by those behind and in front ot the scenes than the new kn;glit. He is recognised as the leading man in the theatrical profession in Australasia, and, apart from his interest in the theatre, he has many large commercial interests.
