FRUITGROWERS' PROVINCIAL COUNCIL.

A meeting of the Fruitgrowers' Provincial Council was held on Saturday night, to consider remits and appoint delegates to the Dominion Conference to be held at Wellington on 14th, 15th, and 16th inst. There was a full attenda'nee, Mr J. Longton presiding. Mr T. W. Attwocd, president of the Fruitgrowers' Federation, was present, and gave eome useful information, also stressing the benefits that h'ave accrued through pulling together, and how to accomplish even better results in the future. The remits were all gone through, 102 in ell, some of which provoked considerable discussion, and a line of action decided on. The delegates appointed were Messrs F. W. Cone, J. F. Tapley, anU J. W. McLeod.
