(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGEAM.I AUCKLAND, Juno 4. A six-roomed house at Mmngaturoto wa3 burned yesterday morning. The wife bf the owner, Ernest Underwood, a farmer, was lighting a fire with what she thought was kerosene, but which was benzine. The tin near-by ignited. As Under nood lifted it uu it exploded, inflicting severe burns on his arm, neck, tind shoulder- Mrs Underwood is suffering badly from shock. Both were sent 't-o the" hospital at Paparoa. The insurances were £SOO on the house and £l6O on the furniture. |
