OTIRA TUNNEL.
OPENING LIKELY TO BE DELAYED. MATERIAL LOST IN WILTSHIRE. (SPECIAL TO "THE I'RKSS.") WELLINGTON, .Line 2. The opening of the Otira tunnel ;s likely to be delayed owing to the wreck of the Wilt hue, which has on bcr-rd material from Babcc-cks lor the steam plant. It is just possible that some of the electrical plant from the English Electric Company was shipped by the Wiltshire, some of the piant was ready a fortnight before the Wilt .aire sailed from England, but, so Lr,.advices of its shipment have not been received. The iiabcock plant could be quickly duplicated by cable, but if elecfncal pluit is on board, the delay will be more serious.
