At the Middlesex tournament Lowe and Myers beat W«itheim and Taylor, 6-3, 1-b, 6-3. - Wertheim has not yet reached his best form. „, „ j Barclay and Ritchie beat Sherwell and Partner, -G-i, 2-2 (retired). Lycett and Anderson beat Ingram and Swindon, 6-4, 6-2. In the fourth round, Barclay and Ritchie beat Lowe end Myers, 7-5, 14-12. This was the day's moat exciting match. Barclay showed out best cf the four players. It has been taken for grant d by t lft Press for some time that Barclay intruded playing in the Indion Davis Cup team. He now has definitely raused nomination in that connexion, and eome critics suggest that the British selectors may now pay attention to him.
