"CHARLIE" CHAPLIN'S MOTHER.
INELIGIBLE TO REMAIN IN AMERICA. WASHINGTON, May 23. "Charlie" Chaplin will probably be compelled to see his mother expelled as an undesirable alien. Mrs Chaplin, who has been residing in California for more than a >'<-ar, was admitted on a bond offered by her son, who testified that his income was more than 1,000,000 dollars a year. His mother waa shell-shocked during air rMds in England, and is suffering mentally. The law does rot permit the entrance of aliens mentally unsound. Chaplin is employing a large force of the legal profession to induce the authorities to remove ,th& barrier against his mother.
