AIRSHIP SERVICES.

Commander Burney, H.N., of the Vickers Company, who is largely responsible for the proposed Imperial airship scheme, says the company proposes; to build, six. new airships at a. lower cost than ever before. They will contain n resta.ura.nfc and sleeping cabins, smoking and bath-rooms, and aa capable of carrying one hundred passengers at rates below first-class steamer fanes, in addition to ten tuns of mails and goods. Mr A. 11. Ashboit, Agent-General for Tasmania, in an interview, said: "Though my scheme did not succeed, it prevented thb'destruction of the Government airshlpw six months ago. Tho position now is wonderfully improved, ajid money is available for the new project, which I halieve Australia will consider favourably.''
