pm JOHN F AT - T - SHIELD. Tho secondary schools life-saving competition for the Sir John Hall Shield was held in the Tepid Baths last evening. Teams from the Boys' High School, Technical College, and "West Christchurch District High School competed, and ~ good display of life-saving work was given. Boys' High School won the shield with an aggregate of' 299J points. The competition consisted of .and drill, release and rescue, resuscitation, and water drill. KtEults:— Boys' High School (A. Dalton, A. Breward, R. Wilkinson, and B. Johnson), land drill 16S§ point 3, water drill 131, total '239J, 1. "West Christchurch (A. Brydon, S. Riddell, J. Hansen, R. Wilton), land drill 152J points, water drill 115}, total 26S points, 2. Technical College (J. Smith, A. Barton, J. Breward, A. Stokes), land drill 146, water drill 117, total 2G3 points, 8.
