Sir Edward Carson succeeds the late Lord Moulton as a Lord of Appeal. A Berlin message says Dr. Rosen, German Minister at The Hague,, has been appointed Minister of Foreigu Affairs, in succession to Dr. von Simons.
In the House of .Commons, Mr Cecil Harmsworth, Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs, in reply to a question, declared that the Anglo-Persian ■ agreement was regarded as definitely lapsed.
An Amsterdam message say-3 representatives of the International Federation of Trades Unions are proceeding to North and South America, India, Japan, and Australia, for propaganda work.
According to a Delhi message, a riot occurred at Mahgaon, between Mohammedan landowners and Hindu tenants, over a question of forced labour. The former, fearing an attack, fired on the unarmed villagers* killing two, and seriously wounding fifteen.
