In the Houso of Commons, Mr Lloyd George, replying to a question regarding Ireland, reiterated that tho Government was ready to meet representative's of the Irish people to discuss any ptoposals offering a prospect of. reconciliation and settlement, subject to the reservations that tho strategic unity of the Empire must bo safeguarded, and .that Ulster must not be coerced.
