TRANS-PACIFIC FLIGHT. (By Cable—Pre33 Association—Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) NEW YORK, April 19. The United States Navy Pepartment is constructing a huge seaplane to attempt a trans-Pacific flight in the late summer or early spring. The machine is a triplano with n wing spread of 167 feet. It has nine 400 h.p. motors, and a lifting capacity of 30,0001b. It will require a crew of 12. The tentative route is San Diego, Honolulu, Wake Island, Guam, and Manila.
