HONOURING THE DEAD. (Received April 19th, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, April 19. A movement has been inaugurated to place a memorial tablet in each centre of the United Kingdom where Australians and New Zealanders are buried. If funds permit, thirty tablets will bo erected in various cathedral arid principal parish churches, reminding visitors that so many Australians and New Zealanders who'loft home for overseas and gave their lives for the Empire, lie buried in the neighbourhood of the church. The authorities of several churches have intimated their willingness to provide a position for the tablets.

SEAMEN'S WAGES REDUCED. (Router's Telegiramß.) (Received April 19th, 9,40 p.m.) NEW YORK, April 19. The American Steamship Owners' Association, controlling the ocean liners, have reiducod the. wages of employees, to. be effective from May Ist. The reduction eliminates pay for overtime.
