Holmes left for Hasting on Tuesday to attend Mr B. Shadbolt's disposal sale of trotting: stock. Sobisca and Wairemana, both winners ait Auokland on Saturday, scored again yesterday. ' 'I .. - i Dean Dillon, who won the Prince of Waka Handicap at Auckland yesterday, has turned out a .profitable investment for Jiis new owner, Mr G. Paul, as- since racing in, his interests he bias won £540 in stakes. The defeat of General Link by Dean Dillon in the Prince.of Wales Handicap yesterday would not be -too welcome to the connexions of the former, as Dean Dillon is a caat-off of A. Fleming's stable. The effort to train Hardy Wilkes haa proved ■unsuccessful, and the sop of Marvin Wilkes aad Doris M. has returned to tie paddock. T. G. Fox has decided to reduce his team, and Messrs H. Matson and Co. will sell at Tattereall's on Saturday, Eric EothscJiild, Mairama Garl, it two-year-old gelding by Harold Dillon from Eose Gauntlet, and a two-yeax-old filly by Great Audubon from an O.Y.M mare. J. Fleming has sold his two-year-old filly by Our Thorpe from Lady Linton to the Woolston eportsmnn, Mr J. J. Johnston. The youngster was educated by A. Fleming, and will remain in his stable. Trix Pointer and Billy Parole, both membars of F. Holmes's stable, are on the easy list, and are not likely to race again this season. Gallantry got cast, in his box last week, and is now having an enforced holiday.
