riJI PROPOSES CONFEDERATION. SUVA, April 12. At a meeting of the Fiji Legislative Council this morning, iir Henry Mimo Scott moved: "TiniD in the opinion of the Council the interests of the Empiro in the Pacific would best be served by a confederation of the British islands in the Western Pacihc, governed and controlled from a common centre/"' Tho motion was carried.
