SMALLPOX IN SYDNEY.
STEAMER QUARANTINED. (By Cable—Press Association—Copyright.) ■ (Australian and N.£. Cable Association.) SYDNEY. April 13. Ihe steamer Gracchus, from Calcutta, after landing a suspicious' case at Melbourne, has arrived at Sydney. There are six cases of smallpox in a mild form on the vessel. AU on board have been quarantined. [About eighteen or nineteen years ago the Gracchus caused a sensation at Lyttelton, owing to the discovery of several cases of smallpox on board. The patients were landed on Quail Inland, 'whesre one or two of them, died.]
