H. Gr.igg, John «nd A. S. Ciarkson. The chairman welcomed the members und the newly elected committee, and expressed pleasure that several younger representatives of well-known Canterbury farmers were included in their (number. He referred to tho necessity ■' for increasing tho membership of the' Association, and said that, though farmers belonged to their district associations, they ought also to belong to the Canterbury Association. The- secretary of the Xew Zealand Council of Agriculture- wrote, 6lating thet the aiuial conference would be held in July, probabjy, on the Gth and Till; and that remits for consideration thereat should reach him not later than June 11th, Messrs Westenra. K. E. Alexander, J. D. Hall, and John Deans were appointed a pub-committee no. ■draw up remits. The matter of ap.pointmj delegates was held over. It was decided that a list of: suggested, sub-committee* and their personnel bs drawn up by the president, vsce-president, and.the* chai.mcn of the varioii» ( sub-committce3, and submitted to next meeting. Accounts totalling £375 19s 3d' were pileed for payment. Mrs A. O'Borke and Miss C, O'Rorke were electsd members oi the Association.
