The secretary was ?mpowered to make all arrangement* in granting the use of. the club's properties'and arranging details. Assistance from the club's officials fur the preliminary opening nights of each Association was guaranteed. It was decided Ithat the various bodies promoting boxing contests be advised of the necessity of h/aTing o permit issued as provided for by the Police Offences Act, and of obtaining tho approval of the local Superintendent. Messrs A. R. Bmnsden, H Johnson, T E. Robson, and the chairman-were appointed an emergency committee. It was decided that members be asked to make enquiries in regaid to securing suitable Fiemisee that would be available far a 7<hysical culture eohool and a "try-out" hall, it being stated that a number of prominent business men were, desirous of establishing training quarters for the winter months. Jack Munro ha* cabled to Deschamp offering Carpentier £20,000 for three fights in Australia after his match with Dempsey.
