THE COMPETITIONS.
FIFTH DAY. The large attendance at the Theatre Royal last night showed that interest in the Christchurch Literary and Musical Competitions ia being well maintained. The withdrawal of entrants for the violin solo and the pianoforte duet, own selection, left those who appeared in those classes without any competition whatever.
