Cardinal Bourne, Archbishop of Westminster, in an interview, advocated Dominion Home Rule for Ireland. The suspicions between tho two countries, Iho said, prevented a settlement, and added: "The protection of the Empire is as important for Ireland as for us, and op important for civilisation as for both. Tho Cork police raided the Agricultural Society's grounds and discovered ten lorry loads of booty, including a Lewis gun, a motor-car, firearms, swords, uniforms, and hundreds of cycles. Owing to outrages in Limerick, a four o'clock curfew has been imposed, and shops have been ordered to close at two o'clock.
