Ter Richard has announced that the Dempsey-Carpentier fight will be held in New Jersey on July 2nd. He will decide in a few days whether the fight will be-held at Jersey City, Newark, or Atlantic- City. Governor Edwards, of New Jersey, has, approved of the plans. Hickard eaid the fight will be a "twelve rounds, no decision" match. An arena will be built to seat 50,000 persons, and prices of admission will range from five to fifty dollars. ..-sDempsey leaves Seattle to-night for New York to begin training immediately. [A message from Paris on April Ist said:— The Carpentier-Dempsey match is off. Carpentier has requested the >"tew York bank to return his deposit of £IO,OOO, and has agreed to fight Moran in London during June!
