Mr Garden, secretary of the Labour Council, stated that the president, Mr J. Howie, and the secretary of the Cappers' Union, Mr T. Earsman, were visiting England for an anti-immigra-tion campaign. At the trial of Mrs Mort, who is charged with the murder of Dr. Tozer, the prosecution alleged that while in custody the accused had confessed to killing Tozer. A plea of insanity was entered.
