N.Z. UTILITY POULTRY CLUB. RESULTS OF SIXTEENTH COMPETITION. The New Zealand Utility Poultry Cjv.Va 16th osg-hwice competition terminated on March" 81st. Phenomenal results were obti,ined from the ducks. During: tie eleven months of the teat Mr Knight's Indian Runner duck laid 334 eggs. Tho chief prizewinners are: Heavy Breed Singles—R. R. Cnnstie (Melbourne), 236 eggs. Black Orpingtori. Heavv Breed Teams—J. Guun tßacecourse Hill) 10CU ogge. Black Orpingtons. Light Breed Singles—A. C. Goodlet (Dunedim, 265 eggs, White Leghorn. Three-bird Light Breed Teams—Mrs Gorm-f-ki (Invercargill), 725 eggs, White Leghorns. Throe-bird Heavv Breed Teams—Mr T. E. Conway (Bay of "Plenty), 669 eggs. Black Oruingtoiis. Light Breed Flock Teams—G. Bonr.ett (Sprevdon). 10SS eggs, 'White Leghorn*. Three-bird Duck Teams—Willoughby Knight ("Wellington), 821 eggs, Indian Runners. " Single Duck—A. F. Reay, Fendalton, 213 ei-gs, Indian Runner. Two-year Duck Test (six Indian Runners!— W. T. Green, 2SS7 eggs, a world's record. The club has retained Messrs Willoughby Knight's and R. Hawke's single ducks for a full year, also Mr W. T. Green'a second year team for a third year test. Yesterday morning Mr Knight's. duck broke the world's record for a singlo duck or fowl by laying its f.iOtli egg. The bird has to the end of April to complete its year, and is still tight in feather.
