BOTLDINa CONTROL. (PRISS ASSOCIATION TELEORAM.) WELLINGTON, April <3. Many letters have been received by tho Board of Trade from various interests concerned, expressing appreciation of the Board's impartial work in connexion with the building regulations and. tho control of essential materials. Recently the Board dealt with many hundreds of applications for permits for ; buildings other than dwellinghouoes or farm buildings, and local bodies which acted in co-operation with the Board, of Trade, dealt with 4150 applications for permits for dwellings and farm buildings. In addition to the regular permit tho Board received many enquiries from /persons who wished to ascertain whether an application was likely to bo granted in distriqts outside of Wellington. The Board's control of tho distribution of cement ceased on March 19th, but in Wellington the end did not como till April 2nd. From' July Ist, 1920, to April 2nd,' the quantity of cement distributed u^jjer v the Board's control totalled nearly W # OCO tons.
