MEETING. OP EXECUTIVE. > .6 (SPBOIAL TO "THE PRESS.") WELLINGTON, April 5. It was stated at a meeting of tho New Zealand Returned Soldiers' Association in connexion with the repatriation of Asiatics, that an Indian who was refused a passage back to his native land became mentally deranged and was committed to a mental hospital.. It was decided' to forward tho Prime Minister a letter asking the Government to bring pressure to bear on all shipping companies to ensure the granting of passages to Asiatics desiring to leave the Dominion. The Association stressed its policy of a white New Zealand. - The Otago Association . wrote protesting against the issue of a home service medal, which it considered a waste of good metal. The matter was referred to the Dominion' Conference in June.
