SOUTH WAIMAKARIRI RIVER BOARD.

The South Waimakariri River Board met yesterday, Mr C. H. Op'io presiding. The overseer reported there had been two Bica.ll floods since tho last meeting:, but, no damage had resulted, «nd there was no alteration in the course of the river. Mr E. G. Robinson, superintendent Selwyn Plantation Board, forwarded iv report Bkstching the procedure to be followed in commencing plantations on the Board's recurves. The Board approved of the report, and decided to rank© a start by planting a heH ol macrocarpa and pinus insignia, also to tryout other trees in an experimental plot. The annual inspection of reserves and works was fixed for Tuesday, April 19th.
