MONTHLY MEETING.

The Ohristchurch Domains Board met yesterday)' Mr' George Harper. presid T ing. -.. Mr R. T?. M. Manning wrote stating that while cycling 'through North Park he had been thrown off his bicycle by a wire obstruction placed acrc-'ss a track thaf had been used constantly by-.the public. . The ciiairman said that the wire fence had been erected to prevent persons from taking a short"cut across the & The curator (Mr. J. Young) said that persons were constantly making a short cut across the grass. it was resolved to point out that the track was one on which nobody had the right to cycle. ' . The curator reported that the\worK for the season was well advanced. He had received about 900 varieties of seeds from the Royal Botanic Gardens, Edinburgh, and ISI varieties from Sir F Moore, Dublin. The Sports Committee reported that it had met representatives of tlw Rugby Union and discussed the site for a training ground and pavilion. The ground at present used by the Christchurch Club waß agreed to for the training ground,' and a site on the north side of the tree clump was agreed to for a pavilion. The committee suggested that lights should be 'out at 9.15 p.m., and that a man should be present .representing the Rugby Union to be responsible for the conduct of practices. Final details as regards rules and plans for a pavilion and the removal of the old dressing sheds had been left to a sub-committee. The Report was adopted. The financial statement for the month showed that the receipts had "been £ll4B, including levy £l5O, rent (to May 31stj £371, football £lls. The debit balance at the end of the year was £562.
