■ _—« (ntXSS ASSOCIATION TXLKJRAM.) AUCKLAND, March 26. The Auckland loan of ££oo,ooo, floated in London, is ior electricity extensions, and tenders were-called, retainable in London. The . city engineer, Mr Wyllie, has recommended for acceptance the fewest tender in each group. All the tenders are from British ~ n'nn*. The sum of £185,000 will be spent' * in London, and the balance of the £500,000 : /will .be spent in- Auckland. Under the * scheme of extensions now to be commenced, c tho city station will be increased to 80,000 horsepower,' and the tramway power-house will bo used as a stand-by plant.
