ROTORUA, November 9. Reginald Roy Pyke, aged 61, who was undergoing treatment at the Sanatorium for neurasthenia, was found dead in the Sanatorium grounds at 5.30 this morning with a cord pulled light round his neck, and the end in his hands. Ho was missed by his room mates, who searched and found him near the Rachel Spring. His wife died three weeks ago. Ho was a son of • the late Mr Vincent Pyke (who was a member of Parliament for various Otago Central seats from 1873 to 1894), and at one time owned the "Bruce Herald," Milton.
WELLINGTON, November 9. Miss Eliza Stoekbridge, aged 65, -who lived by herself at Brooklyn, found dead in her residence to-day- A* medical certificate wae given that she suffered from heart disease. DUNEDIN, November 9. John Mair, aged 65, formerly a mercer, fatally shot himself m Pitt street this morning with a revolver.
