CASUALTIES.
A lad named Dineen, whose parents reside at Suffolk street, was bitten by a bull dog while delivering a parcel to a house in Riccarton. The prompt action of the daughter of the house saved the boy from very serious injury, and he was' attended to later by Dr. Bates. He is at present making a satisfactory recovery. An improvement is reported in the condition of Mrs F. Malaquin, who was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital an Sunday, suffering from a bullet wound in the temple.
