NATIONAL ENDOWMENT LAND.

PROVISION FOR DISPOSAL. (special to "the press.") WELLINGTON, November 9. Some additional amendments to the Land Bill were introduced by GovernorGeneral's message in the House of Representatives early this morning, and were added to tho Bill by tho House.

They extend the provision for tho withdrawal of land from the national endowments, and make provision for tho creation of a national endowment trust account. Amendments to clause 11 provide that the following lands may be withdrawn from tho national endowments, and sold to the occupiers: Any national endowment land disposed of under the Land Act, ISO 3, and held under lease or license by any person who is competent to acquire land under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915; any national endowment land held as a small grazing run, under a lease issued pursuant to the Land Act, 1892, or issued beforo the passing of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1918, pursuant to tho Lapd Act, 1908. On the issue of a proclamation under this section, tho lessee of a small grazing run may acquire the freehold of the whole or any part of his holding at any time during the currency of his lease. The revenue received from the lease of lands excluded from tho national endowment is to be paid into the national endowment account. Revenue received from the sale of such land is to be paid into the national endowment trust account, and used for the purchase of other land. The national endowment trust account is to be administered by a Board, consisting of the State Advances Superintendent, tho UnderSecretary of Crown Lands, the ValuerGeneral, and two other public servants appointed by the Government. The constitution of this trust is in discharge of a promise mado by tho Prime Minister when the Bill was before tho House, that the proceeds of the sale of national endowment land would be invested in other land.
