The French Government will send to Boulogne the destroyer Marne, two gunI boats, and two torriedo boats on the occasion of the Verdun's departure with the body of an unknown British warrior, to be buried in Westminster Abbey. The Chamber passed a resolution in favour of burying an unknown poilu under the Arc do Triompho. A' PEEIOD OP SILENCE. (press association telegbam.) WELLINGTON, November 8. In tho Houso of Representatives today Mr Massey said tho following cablegram had been ieceived by the Gover-nor-General from the Secretary of State ! for the Colonies, under date Novembor I 6th:—"With reference to my telegram of November 2nd, please inform your •Ministers that his Majesty the King has expressed a hop© that on Armistice Day, ! November 11th, there should bo a comI plete suspension of all normal business work and locomotion throughout the British Empire during the two minutes' silence commencing at 11 a.m.,"
