Tho Harbour Lights have secured th.> great sporting drama, "Tho Great Game," for ecroeninjj r.cxt week. DANCE. A delightful danco was given in the Club' Hall on Thursday evening by_ Captain, F, A. Bond and officers of tho training ship Woodarra., to tho various committees of ladies in both Lyttclton and Cliristohurcli who had organised entertainments and dances for them during their first visat to Lyttclton, eomo six months ago. There was a largo attendance, including Captain Dickinson, of the 8.1. steamer Ca.na.ra, and officers of that ehip. Supper was provided in the billiard-room of the club, the tables being artistically decorated with black and white streamers, tho colours of tho 8.1. Company. Tho danco music was supplied by Mr Sutherland's orchestra. Tho chaperons were Mesda.mea Thorpe, Wilcox, and White-Parsons. The Lyttclton Ladies' Guild provided tho programnio at the weekly conceit at tlw Htainen'e Institute on Thursday evening. The hall wan crowded with eeamen. and a jiK»t enjoyable time wad sp:nt.
