REPUBLICAN CONVENTION.
PRESIDENT WILSON ATTACKED. (By Cable—Press Association —Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) (Received June 11th, 12.15 a.m.) NEW YORK, June 9. The Republican Convention at Chicago adjourned pending the result of the Committee's attempt to agree on the selection of candidates. Senator Chauncey M. Depew, in a speech at the Convention, said President Wilson was a man "who gave everything away at the Peace Conference, and then objected to a trifle like Fiume. President Wilson wanted a new League of Nations, a new heaven, and a new earth, with himself as recording angel thereof."
