HEAVY FOG AT PORT.

SHIPPING DELAYED. The heavy fog which prevailed at Lyttelton last night disorganised shipping departures to a considerable extent. The ferry steamer Wahine was ready to sail at 8.30, but it was impossible, from tho wharf, to see the lights on the moles, much less to pick up tho leading lights in the harbour. The Wahine was, therefore, delayed until the fog lifted, and got away at 12.55 this morning. Tho Calm for Wellington, Breeze for Picton, and Ngakuta for Greymouth, also got away about the same time.
