» . The sub-eommitteo appointed by the Northern A. and P. Association, to proparo remits for the conference of the New Zealand Council of Agriculture, to be held in Wellington in July, met on Saturday night-, and decided on the following remits: — (1) That the Government bo strongly urged to exploit freeh. markets for New Zealand wool, wheat, and dairy produce. (2) That tho Government, in its scheme cf immigration, be urged to give preference to farm labour. (3) That the Government be Mked to lower the Etandard of Aout. (1) That, owing to the world shortage of foodstuffs, the Government be askod to allow tho freest exchange of all produce.
