1 — STATEMENT BY LIE LLOYD GEOKGE. (Be Cable—Press Association—Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) LONDON, Juno 5. Replying to questions in the House of Commons, Mr Lloyd George said it had not been decided to transfer the Dominions Department of ihe Colonial Office to the Lord President of the Council. In regard to a question of whether it was proposed to transfer to the Colonial Office the responsibilities of the Foreign Office in regard to Palestine, Egypt, and Sudan, and the responsibilities of tku India Office in regard to Mesopotamia, Central Arabia, and Aden, the Primo Minister said no decision had Iwen taken in regard to the administration of the mandatory territories under the Turkish Treaty. [A previous message stated:—The "Sunday Express" states that iho Government is instituting important Imperial changes whereby tlie Dominions' affairs will be transferred to the Privy Council from the Colonial Office, which assumes control of the mandatory territories.] .
