The Court of Enquiry into the loss of tie steamer Aorere found that- there weTG three causes:—(l) The vessel getting into a leaking condition by working loose in heavy weather; (2) the pump not being fitted with a proper screon; and (3) the captain committing ail ©nor of judgment by not reeking shelter either at Kapili Island cr at Queen Charlotte Sound. Other than thi3 error, there was no neglect or incompetence on the part of Captain CTOtty, whoso certificate was returned. No order was maao as to costs. THE HAVRE ADRIFT.
