Sa Ik old, of Nelson, will sing "De Fundis" (Jude), axd the choir will trfve lhe anthem, "Saviour, Thy Children Keep" (Sullivan). A loctnre, entitled "Training 1 for Mastership in Business," will be driven, to business and professional men on Thursday iu the Chamber of Commerce, Cathedral square, by Mr W. Fraeer, director in tbe South Inland for the Sheldon Institute of Business Scienoe. Mr Ij. Cocker, Poultry Instructor. will visit the Orford, Sheffield, and: Ellesmere districts this month. These desiring- his cervices are advised to notify tho Agricultural Department, Clmstch-arch. In another column the Waimain County Council givo notice cf their intention to strike a G3>ecial rate in connexion with tho Peerswick loan. A notice ie also made regardinc other rates. To-night the ar.r.ur.[ rcurioa of the Veterans' Association, wiil bo held -at Freeman's Caie, mjk! to-morrow, at ?> p.m., a memorial and Peaco Day parade will be held. An address, entitled "Tba Cruise of the Mokoia," illustrated by lantern elides, will b« by Mr E J. Ho"ward a M.P., in tho Bactist Church, Elgin street, Sydenham, tomorrow night. The leciurer will touch on Karatonga and Samoa. The address will bo given under tile joint auspices of the Christchurch South Labour Party and tho Sydenham Men's Society.
