Waitomo, Timaru, June 9th. SHIPPING NOTKS. There was a decided shortage of trucks e.t Lyttolton yesterday, and the Waitomo, which requires n. large number for her cargo of wheat, was idle all day. The Karori also worked two gangs short. It is anticipated that sufficient trucks will be available today.
Tire S.S. and A. steamer Zealandic. at present discharging Home cargo at "Wellington. is due at Lyttelton towards the end of next week to continue discharge. She will complete at Port CliaJmers, and will then load at New Zealand ports for tho United Kingdom. The Canterbury Steamship Co.'a three steamers are all due at Lyttelton on Monday. The Breeze is coming from Dunedin direct and is to load for Picton, for' wliicn port she will sail on Tuesday. The Calm 19 coming from Timaru. and is timed to sa.il on Tuesday for Wellington. The Storm i 3 also from Timaru, and will load for a northern port not yet decided upon. The To Anau could not complete her loading in time to get away last night, and is now eet down to sail for Napier and Gisborne at noon to-day.
Tho departure of (ho Rakanoa was also postponed till noon to-day. She to Auckland direct with produo?. Tho Kakapo is due this morning •with a full xarsro of timber from Grcymouth. The Wairuna is to leave Napier on Monday, and is due fccra on Wednesday with cas« oil and general American cargo. The Wootton, which arrived at Lyttelton on Thursday, had for discharge, amongst other cargo, 25 tons of wax matches. She is to leave for Wellington to-day. The Hu'ldart-Pnjkcr steamer Kiverina is duo here from Sydney, ria Auckland ana Wellington, on Tuesday. In addition to coastal cargo she has for discharge here _ -GO tons of Sydney cargo, including transhipments from th* Schenchiki, Kcsoku Maru, and Brcjcia.
