[The Tennessee, with a displacemment of 32,300 tons, and a speed of gl knots, is of tho same class as tho Arizona, California, Idaho, Mississippi, New ! Mexico, and Pennsylvania. America's ! fleet of "Dreadnought" battleships in- i eludes eight ships armed with 12-inch j guns, ajul four ships, each armed with i ten 14-inch guns. In addition to the j seven ships of tho Tennessee type, ten j battleships and six battle-cruisers, all mounting eight 16-inch guns as their main armament, and the latter to have a speed of 35 knots, are either under construction, or about to be laid down.]
