At a special meeting of the Otago Educational Institute, held to-night, I the fo.lowing resolution was ctrried: — | "That thi3 mass meeting of teachers of I Otago, having regard to the longpromised increase of salary to teachers, and recognising the lack of finality and the vagueness of the Government's promises, expresses its stronget indignation at the scant consideration given, and demands an immediate increase of 621 _per ccnt. on the salaries of January, 1010, failing -which ifc pledges iteelf to support its Institute in any measure i tho Institute may deem necessary."
