WAIMAKARIRI HARBOUR BOARD.
4 The monthly meeting of tna Waimakariri Harbour Board was held at Kaianoi last night. Present—Messrs W. Doubleday (chairman) L. B. Evans, J. Wright, H. C. Rovell, C. E. Kcetley, R. Dunn, K. Mcintosh, L. Edmonds and R. J. Corbett.
A letter was received from tho Kaiapoi Borough Council inviting the Board to cooperate by granting permission for the erection of a etatue as a war memorial on the river bank in Raven street, between the mnin bridge and the band rotunda. It was decidcd tllat tho Works Committee should inspect the site and confer with the Council in the matter. Tho harbourmaster reported that the average depth of water on the bar was 7ft 9in. The financial statement showed a credit £116 lis Bd.
